i am trying to get into a gaming site and it wouldnt allow me to connect i went to edit my firewall prefs and i got this message
other firewall software is running on your computer. To change the apple firewall settings, turn off the other firewall software.
my questions is how do i do this when i didnt even know i had another firewall i have searched for firewall and only found something labeled
com.apple.sharing.firewall.plist
which has loads of drop down menus in it - the main being Root and all my apple firewall options in it
sorry if thats a little confusing - as you maybe able to tell i know little to nothing about computers :)

Anna. Dig around in System Prefs (the light switch icon) under Network.Mac firewall problem - error message 'other firewall software is running on your computer'?Sounds like you have your Windows firewall on too. Go to the security settings for windows and disable it and see if that helps.
