How can i change my firewall setting?

I tried changing it so I could get messenger and now I messed it all up and cant figure out how to change it backHow can i change my firewall setting?OK ON XP



1. click start

2. click control panel

3. once open click on SECURITY CENTER and if you don't find it......look at the top of the screen and click %26quot;SWITCH TO CLASSIC VIEW%26quot; you should find it there..

4. once open YOU SHOULD SEE %26quot;FIREWALL- AUTOMATIC UPDATES AND VIRUS PROTECTION%26quot;

5. scroll down

6. click on WINDOWS FIREWALL

7. CLICK ON ANY OF THE TABS AND EDIT YOUR FIRE WALL SETTING BLOCKING OR UNBLOCKING PROGRAMS. How can i change my firewall setting?You can disbale the firewall and check for the issue..I am providng steps for Vista

* If you are using the default 'Category' view:



Select Start%26gt;Control Panel%26gt;Security Center%26gt;Windows Firewall.



* If you are using 'Classic' View:



Select Start%26gt;Control Panel%26gt;Windows Firewall.



* Click 'Turn Windows Firewall on or off'.

* In the 'User Account Control' dialog box, click 'Continue', to open 'Windows Firewall Settings'.

* In the 'General' tab, select 'Off (not recommended)'.

* Click 'OK'.
