I'm trying to download maplestory on my Windows Vista laptop, and it is taking extremely long. I downloaded it on my Windows vista desktop and it didn't take any longer than 30 minutes. I don't know why it's taking so long...
Is it my firewall settings, and they're blocking the downloader somehow? If it is my firewall (Mcafee) how do I change the settings and what do I change the settings to? I mean, the firewall is off... but the first time I tried downloading it, it did say something about the firewall... but the second time it didn't say anything. So... I don't know.
Is there anyway to make it go faster? Why is it taking so long? How do I change the firewall settings if it is that, and what settings does it need to have?

If you're sure it's not you're laptop, then it can be your internet. Are you using dial-up on your laptop? Also, try using McAfee to run a virus scan, to check if you have a virus that's slowing down your downloads.
Disabling your firewall won't make any difference. It's only useful to disable your firewall when you have a hackshield error. Also, if the cause of this IS because you have a virus, then you should definitely not disable your firewall.
