OKay i have a laptop that i use that always connects to the internet.
BUt now it picks up the connection but wont connect because of a firewall.
Someone messed on with the settings on the main computer.
How can i change the firewall back?!Firewall? interenet?! help me please. important?One way to find out if the firewall is blocking your connection...is to turn the firewall off and see if you get a connection.
Go to Start...Control Panel...Classic View...Firewall...Change settings...turn off.
If your able to get online..then return to Firewall and select the Allow a Program through Firewall...click on the Exceptions tab and add the program.
If the firewall is not the problem...try removing the main Power from the modem and router (if you have one) for 30 seconds and reconnect...also check your modem for a Reset button and reset. This method would reset all connections.
